Six Stones each week, but every age is unique

A two-year-old sees a river rock as a treasure to be felt; a five-year-old sees it as a tool to be mastered. We don't change the treasure—we change the invitation.

Every child in the Stepping Stones program receives their own set of six stone activities every single week. Whether you have a toddler just beginning to explore or a preschooler preparing for the classroom, their box is a curated map of developmental milestones.

We believe that a sturdy foundation isn't built by focusing on a single subject, butWeekly Discovery Pack, their journey will contain:

The Readiness Stone
The Number Stone
The Story Stone
The Creative Stone
The Heart Stone
The Curiosity Stone

While the theme remains unified across your household, these six stones are meticulously leveled. A Green Stone activity for a two-year-old and a Terracotta Stone activity for a five-year-old may share the same topic, story, or artifact, but they are designed to unlock entirely different developmental doors.

One Theme, Many Realities

While your children will work on the same weekly theme—like our July "Nature Neighbors"—the stones themselves are not identical. We have meticulously designed the activities to be unique to each specific age group.

For the Younger Learner: The activity focuses on Sensory Foundations. We prioritize the "magic" of the artifacts—the weight and textureof the items, the texture of the paper. We are building the brain's ability to notice and wonder.
For the Older Learner: The activity focuses on Applied Logic. Using the same artifacts, we challenge them to categorize, narrate, and lead. We are building the brain's ability to analyze and communicate.

By keeping the theme the same but the activities unique, we allow siblings to play in the same room, at the same time, without ever being on the same page.

The Follower (Ages 2-3)

The Focus: Sensory & Wonder.
The Goal: To feel the weight of the stone, hear the crunch of the leaf, and see the colors of the neighborhood.
Teacher Talk: "At this stage, we are simply inviting the child to be present in the world."

The Walker (Ages 3-4)

The Focus: Logic & Action.
The Goal: To count the stones, name the colors, and follow the simple "Next Stone" prompts.
Teacher Talk: "Here, we begin to connect the sensory wonder to foundational academic logic."

The Leader (Ages 4-5+)

The Focus: Ownership & Empathy.
The Goal: To narrate the story to their sibling, solve the "Curiosity Stone" riddles, and take pride in "teaching."
Teacher Talk: "Leadership is the highest form of learning. When a child guides their sibling, they master the material themselves."

The Blueprint: Every activity in your box is a "Stone." While the theme for each of these "Stones" is the same for everyone, the approach is different.
